Who We Are

The American & Haitian Economic Alliance for Development (AHEAD) is a non-partisan advocacy organization dedicated toward helping US policymakers formulate policies thatwill create jobs in the US and Haiti.

The movement was founded by a group of concerned Haitian-Americans to influence legislation and shift ECONOMIC POLICIES that benefit the US, Haiti, and the Haitian Diaspora.

Legal Status

The movement is registered in Florida as a 501(c)(4) organization geared principally towards advocacy.

There is no dignity in poverty. Haiti is classified as the poorest country in the western hemisphere. It is only through unity in diversity that our generation can answer to the urgency of now to fundamentally help the country change course. "Carpem Die" - Si nou vle nou Kapab.

Our Vision 

Our vision is to create sustainable jobs and opportunities for the people of Haiti via a selective industrialization revolution process. Two essential components of this policy include the acquisition of U.S. equipment’s only, and value return on of US tax-payers money.

Our Mission

Our mission is to build a healthy, dynamic, responsible, and transparent organization with vocation to educate U.S. Congress about progressive policies gearing toward impactful economic development of Haiti.


  • Increase Diaspora involvement in all facets of Haiti’s sustainable economic development.
  • Increase awareness on economic development issues related to Haiti.
  • Empower stakeholders through education and relevant resources.
  • Reposition Haiti's economic issues as one of the main impediment to development.


  • Develop effective advocacy campaign to bring economic resources in Haiti for helping to create jobs in the US and Haiti.
  • Create a network of "Friends" in the US Congress.
  • Expand campaign messages by conducting ongoing public opinion research.
  • Seek funding to expand campaign activities.
  • Enhance increase coordination with other Diaspora advocacy groups

DC Trips

AHEAD seeks to organize trips to Washington, DC, the center of American Democracy. The objective is to come into contact with our political representatives where they conduct business, debate laws, and pass bills on behalf of the American people.
